HUMANITARIAN CAUSE
Ukraine requires additional humanitarian deminers to clear its de-occupied territories.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) currently has over 1,000 pyrotechnicians, with plans to increase that number by 500 more (100 units of 5 people each) for a total of 1,500 pyrotechnicians. This increase will speed up humanitarian demining tasks, especially in the de-occupied territories. The recruitment and training of new pyrotechnicians is ongoing.
For safe and effective demining works, the new pyrotechnic units need specialized high-speed transport. The prompt delivery of personnel and equipment with 4x4 vehicles is urgently needed. Equipping pyrotechnic units with pickups like Toyota J79 will allow for effective execution of humanitarian demining tasks in difficult off-road and all-weather conditions in remote and rural areas.
